Forge is a virtual monthly writing lab designed to help you build momentum, stay accountable, and actively develop your writing within a supportive creative community. Each session blends structured prompts, focused writing time, and thoughtful reflection — all in an intimate group of no more than 10 writers.
Whether you’re working on a play, screenplay, or long-form project, Forge gives you the structure and space to actually write — not just talk about writing.
Each Forge session is thoughtfully facilitated to balance creativity, discipline, and connection.

Forge is open to writers of all levels and backgrounds. The room is intentionally small to allow for focus, trust, and meaningful engagement.
Forge participants receive access to a private Slack community for the duration of the month.

Slack is free and easy to use. Participation is optional but strongly encouraged. The goal is to extend the energy of Forge beyond the session itself — maintaining momentum, community, and accountability throughout the month without adding pressure or busywork.

Michael Gomez is a New York native and a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He is a proud founding Company member and currently serves as the Managing Director of Bethesda Repertory Theatre. His recent Bethesda appearances have been in An Evening With Company and The Rhythm of Mourning, which he also co-wrote. At South Coast Repertory, he appeared in Our Town, I Get Restless, and the NewSCRipts reading of The Hombres by Tony Meneses. Michael performed the solo play I Died Today at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, and also created the original YouTube series Rollups. An actor, writer, producer and director, Michael has a passion for storytelling, particularly about the LGBTQ+ experience, as well as advocating the push for more diversity, equity and inclusion in these spaces.
