Bethesda Repertory Theatre is comprised of a Company of Artists who believe the stories we tell. Our beautiful mess, our lives--the holistic communal experience, is what theatre means to us. It has the power to invoke, exorcise and become a catalyst for change, understanding, acceptance, and at times, makes us uncomfortable. Palatable stories are not told here.
This is a new form, a new generation of theatre creators.
Those Actors who identify with this artistic manifesto are invited to audition for upcoming productions.
Casting submissions and inquiries are to be sent to shelby@bethesdarep.com
All Actors are welcome regardless of race, color, religion, sex, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or Actors' Equity status.
Interested Artists are encouraged to participate in or observe in our free monthly workshop, The Rehearsal, that is facilitated by Ms. Mumford. During these sessions you will work alongside and have an opportunity to converse with Company members, creatives, and Bethesda leadership. Not only are these workshops intended to ignite and support creative synergy, on a consistent basis, it also serves as an effort to dismantle industry gatekeeping and inaccessibility, and offer an equitable space for professional and novice artists, alike, to work together.
We are always looking for determined individuals who are passionate about pursuing a career in professional theatre. Internships are unpaid, but there is opportunity for growth and mobility within the organization. We are looking for candidates whose postsecondary education includes theatre arts, directing, design, stage management, theatre production, or similar. Current students are welcome and encouraged to submit.
Internships last for 3 months but may extend longer depending on the candidate's interest.
If you are interested in interning with us, please email your CV and cover letter to michael@bethesdarep.com.

Bethesda Rep is always seeking enthusiastic and personable individuals to join our Front of House volunteer team. This is a wonderful opportunity to support live theatre while engaging with our community in a meaningful way.
As a Front of House volunteer, you'll serve as an usher whose responsibilities are:
greeting guests, assisting with check-in, guiding audience members to their reserved seats, and facilitating the sale of concessions and merchandise. Ushers also play an important role in creating an inclusive and informed environment by answering questions related to accessibility within the theatre and providing information about content within our productions.
All volunteers receive brief training to ensure they feel confident in their role.
As a thank-you, volunteers are invited to watch the performance on the night they work.
If you're interested in joining our Front of House team, please email info@bethesdarep.com with “Usher” in the subject line.
